Description:

Satellite Ground Control Systems Test Engineer required for a long term contract in Stevenage and overseas.

Understanding of Satellite Ground Control Systems
Familiar with the use of satellite Control centres in configuring TM/TC equipment chains
Understanding of C band and Ka band TM/TC Data modems and their operational techniques.
Understanding of ranging techniques
Understanding of Base band equipments and their TM/TC operational techniques
Understanding of Monitoring & Control (M&C) when applied to data modems and base band equipment
Understanding of IP Network techniques
Understanding of RS422 data interfaces
Capable of running test procedures that test TM/TC and M&C interfaces in both IP Network and RS422 interfaces.
Production of accurate records detailing all testing activities
Accurate reporting and investigation of any anomalous results seen during testing activities
Have the ability to communicate their test tasks to other members of the team
Have the ability to work on their own initiative
Must be PC literate and have a good understanding of Microsoft Office.
