ACCOUNTABILITIES
Provide Electro Optics Systems support as required to mainstream projects, specific contracts or internal research funded work.

Specific
1. Assist in laboratory testing of Electro Optics seeker/sensor hardware
2. Assist with trials planning activities
3. Support trials if required
4. Undertake collation and cataloguing of lab and trials data
5. Write analysis software as necessary (Excel, VB, Mathcad, MATLAB etc)
6. Run existing specialist Electro Optics software and models used in the Dept.
7. Undertake data analysis
8. Write analysis reports
9. Support simulation modelling activities by providing validation evidence

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
Degree (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline, plus a number of years relevant experience.
Able to work from first principles
Basic Programming skills (Excel, VB, Mathcad, MATLAB etc)
Awareness/experience of passive and/or active electro-optic systems and technologies.
Good working experiences in more than one phase of the engineering life cycle
Team player
