Electrical Maintenance Technician

Carbon60 are currently hiring for an Electrical Maintenance Technician to join one of our industry leading clients within the water industry at their site based in Peterborough.

This client is striving for ecological are striving for ecological transformation, providing solutions and solving the world's most pressing needs within the demanding water industry.

We are looking for an electrically qualified and experienced individual to assist the plant operations team with maintenance, fault-finding, repair and general housekeeping tasks upon various equipment within a busy engineering environment.

Salary: Up to £34,000 p/a with overtime opportunities and on-call Bonus

Working Hours: 7:30am - 4:30pm Mon to Thurs, 7:30am - 2pm Friday

Daily Responsibilities:

  • Installation and maintenance of PLC, SCADA and DCS, carrying out modifications if needed
  • Fault finding of both electrical components and control systems, as well as completing preventative and reactive maintenance as required
  • Siemens and Allen Bradley PLC software
  • Assisting with developments of both mobile and static plant/water equipment
  • Ensure maintenance records are up-to-date
  • Maintain Quality and Health & Safety standards

Desired Skills/Qualifications:

  • Experience in carrying out electrical work on industrial equipment (Motors, Pumps, etc)
  • 17th/18th Edition Wiring Regulations and/or NVQ Level 3 Electrical qualification
  • Previously operated within an Industrial/Manufacturing/Operational Setting
  • Strong understanding of Health & Safety and Quality awareness
  • Previous Water industry experience is desirable but not essential
